Andre Silva: “Away from Milan? I’m happy at Sevilla”
From Portugal’s team gathering, Andre Silva talks about his transfer from AC Milan to Sevilla. The striker after an anonymous season, the first in the Rossoneri club, decided to leave Milanello a few weeks ago.
Technical director Leonardo satisfied his requirements with the Spanish club determined to rely on the Portuguese striker. Incredible debut for the 22 year old against Rayo Vallecano with a hat-trick, while in the following three games he has failed to find the back of the net. Regarding his transfer to Seville, Andre Silva declared:
“Sevilla move? I work every day for a starting place, the spots are not closed but the coach has options, he decides based on our on-pitch performances. I’m very happy with the choice I made, I’m happy and I hope to do well this season“. At Milan the situation was different last season, with Patrick Cutrone who had overtaken him in the club hierarchy, and it would have been worse during the current year, given that he started as third choice behind Higuain and Cutrone.
His Portugal will make its Nations League debut against Croatia on Thursday night, while next Tuesday they will challenge Italy: “The match against Croatia is very important for us, we want to win against the vice world champions. On a personal level I want to play as much as possible, even throughout the entire 90 minutes. The match against Italy? We have not studied it yet, first we must think about the game with Croatia and then we’ll see. The absence of CR7? It will not be the first time I play without Cristiano. The lack of our captain and best player is important, any team would prefer to have him, but we are used to playing without him“.
